Every year on March 17, the world turns a little greener, a little louder, and a little more cheerful. St Patrick’s Day began as a religious celebration in Ireland, but over the centuries it has evolved into a global festival of camaraderie, music, and—let’s be honest—excellent drinks.
At Conrad Distillery, we believe celebration deserves craftsmanship. Even the most playful cocktail should still carry balance, flavour, and just a touch of sophistication. This year we’ve taken three classic party ideas and elevated them with Conrad spirits.
Think rich coffee and stout, bright golden jelly shots, and a sparkling green brunch cocktail. Three drinks, three personalities, and plenty of Irish cheer
The classic Black Russian is already beloved for its combination of vodka and coffee liqueur. Add a float of Guinness stout and suddenly the cocktail gains a creamy depth and roasted complexity that feels almost dessert-like.
Ingredients
25 ml Conrad Vodka
25 ml Conrad XO Café
100 ml cola
100 ml Guinness stout
Ice
Lime wedge garnish
Method
Fill a tall glass with ice.
Pour in the vodka, XO Café and cola.
Stir gently to combine.
Top with Guinness stout.
Garnish with a wedge of lime.
The result is bold, smooth, and slightly rebellious—much like a good Irish pub story.

Bright golden shots topped with cream and rainbow candy bring instant party energy. They’re playful, colourful and impossible not to smile at.
Ingredients
85 g lemon or pineapple jelly crystals
120 ml Conrad Vodka
240 ml boiling water
120 ml cold water
Whipped cream
Gold sprinkles
Rainbow candy belts (cut into 5 cm pieces)
Method
Dissolve jelly crystals in boiling water.
Add cold water and Conrad Vodka.
Pour into small clear shot cups.
Refrigerate until set (about 3–4 hours).
Top with whipped cream, gold sprinkles and a rainbow candy belt.
They’re sunshine in a cup—your own little pot of gold.
This cocktail brings together citrus freshness, sparkling wine and a dash of colour for a festive brunch drink that looks as joyful as it tastes.
Ingredients
Fresh chilled orange juice
15 ml blue curaçao
30 ml Conrad Vodka
Sparkling wine
Mint or citrus garnish
Method
Fill a champagne flute one-third with orange juice.
Add the blue curaçao and Conrad Vodka.
Top with sparkling wine.
Garnish with mint or citrus.
The colour shift is pure magic—vivid green and wonderfully refreshing.

St Patrick’s Day has never been about perfection. It’s about laughter, storytelling and the joyful clink of glasses between friends.
But here’s the distiller’s secret: even the most playful cocktails shine brighter when the spirit behind them is crafted with care.
So whether you’re hosting friends, celebrating at brunch, or simply enjoying a quiet moment of Irish cheer—raise a glass, enjoy the flavour, and remember:
Luck may come and go, but a well-made cocktail is always worth celebrating.
Sláinte.
